Revolutionary socialist and Palestinian Jew, born Ygael Gluckstein in 1917, who
spent most of his life as a stateless person in Britain. A leading member of the
Socialist Review Group, which became the International Socialists and then the
Socialist Workers Party, Cliff developed the theories of State Capitalism and
Deflected Permanent Revolution. He died in 2000.
